Rebadge the Panda 4x4 as a Jeep, and slot it underneath the Renegade.
Just look at it! It’s even got a square steering wheel, EXACTLY like a LaFerrari.

Why not just import the Panda 4x4 as a Fiat?

Because... Uh...
Good point.
But FCA would probably have a fit because it’s not a car they can slap the 500 moniker on.
Although maybe they could.

500L.
Even though they should make the Panda the 500L.

That’s why you sell it as a Jeep. Just say it’s a crossover. The Renegade is basically a Kia Soul with all wheel drive anyways.

CUV buyers only want the high seating position, why not give them that in a smaller, cheaper and more efficient package. The Panda 4x4 even has brand recognition they can milk.

Not a horrible idea, but I’d say keep it under the Fiat brand, so at least they can have something with the name that might actually appeal to American consumers.
Of course, putting “Jeep” on anything pretty much guarantees success, so why would you want to hamstring a product by badging it as a Fiat?

it’s still basically a tiny “city car” (A-segment) with tiny engines. Even badged as a Jeep I don’t think they’d sell very well in this country. I’ve driven “city cars” like the Ford Ka and Chevy Onix. They have about 60 horsepower, and such short gearing that they’re screaming at 4,000 rpm on the freeway. the Kas I’ve driven were like this: from a stop, clutch out, floor it. clutch in, 1-2 shift, floor it. clutch in, 2-3 shift, floor it. clutch in, 3-4 shift, floor it. what do you mean I’m only going 35 mph?

Not in the US. It’s just a bit too small. I’d bet it’d work in Canada, though.

I had the previous gen 4x4 as a rental in Lanzarote last year. They’re a lot of fun in an ‘Oh my god, don’t flip’ and a ‘I’m already in first with my foot to the floor, please go uphill’ kind of way. Surprisingly capable offroad as well.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

Yes, now we just have to figure out some way to get the Citroen Cactus sold here.
